CIS Online

The CIS Online Course contains recordings of each module and the PDF slide decks used to teach each module. Once registered, you will receive immediate access to these resources and the CIS Exam. You will have 90 days from the registration date to complete the course and exam. Once the CIS Exam has been completed with a passing score, students will receive their downloadable CIS certificate and officially join our community of CIS holders.

The Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS) is an entry-level credential from the Society of Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE). Taking place at your own pace virtually (as well as a final exam), professionals from around the globe will acquire, in an efficient manner, a broad comprehension of the incentive travel industry. All emerging professionals, faculty members and students aspiring to enter this specialized segment of the meetings and events industry may use CIS as a stepping stone to reach higher levels of professionalism. Individuals will learn the fundamentals of incentives, the origins of incentive programs and incentive travel, the value chain, the value proposition of motivational programs and non-cash awards, the composition of the market, the makings of a program and a program budget, industry tools and platforms and other valuable information. Once registered for CIS Online, students will be able to view the module recordings and documents at their own pace before taking the exam. Those who are successful will join a global community of CIS holders!
