The Integrating Wellness into Event Planning Specialty Certification is a focused credential for event professionals ready to move beyond wellness as a perk and into wellness as a strategic tool. Taking place at your own pace virtually (as well as a final assessment), professionals will develop a practical, working knowledge of how to design, source, implement, and measure wellness programming across a wide range of event types. Whether you are an emerging planner or a seasoned professional looking to differentiate your practice, this certification provides a frameworks-based approach to one of the fastest-growing expectations in the meetings and events industry. Individuals will learn the difference between wellness as amenity and wellness as strategy, how to match wellness modalities to event types and audiences, how to vet and contract with wellness vendors, how to define and measure success, how to execute activations operationally, and how to design for belonging and community — not just individual self-care.
Learning Objectives:
- Distinguish between wellness as an amenity and wellness as a strategic driver of attendee engagement, satisfaction, and re-booking
- Match wellness modalities to specific event types, audiences, and agenda moments for maximum impact
- Evaluate, vet, and contract with wellness vendors using a structured discovery and proposal review process
- Define measurable success metrics before an activation and communicate results to stakeholders in language that builds the case for continued investment
- Execute wellness programming operationally, including vendor briefing, logistics planning, and contingency management
- Design for social wellness and belonging by applying community-care principles to standard wellness activations
